The Zoho Report - Episode 5

Hugh Marshall

Welcome back to The Zoho Report! In this episode, we're covering the latest updates and exciting new features coming to WorkDrive, CRM and Forms.

Let's dive in.

1. WorkDrive 6.0

In Episode 3, we covered some of the standout AI improvements in WorkDrive 6.0, plus the new ability to add custom functions to workflows. In Episode 5, we take a look at two additional features included in Phase 1 of WorkDrive 6.0.

Custom File Listing Views

You can now customise your file listing view by adding or removing metadata columns.  This means that you can organise your files according to the information that matters to you, which is particularly useful if you are managing a large number of files.

New Embedded Code Builder

Sharing your WorkDrive content on external websites just got easier. The new embedded code builder allows you to preview and customise how your documents or folders look on your site before you even copy the code. You can adjust the layout, size, and even theme colors to match your brand seamlessly.

2. CRM Currencies Exchange Rate Auto Update

If you deal with multiple currencies, you will know the pain of out-of-date exchange rates. Previously, administrators were required to manually update exchange rates, and every record held onto whatever rate was in place the day it was created.

Automated Exchange Rate Updates

Zoho CRM now has the option to automatically update exchange rates using Open Exchange Rates data. You can set your system to fetch the latest rates daily or even live (every 30 minutes).

At the record level, you can grant users permission to refresh rates on demand, or configure it to update automatically based on triggers. For example, you can configure the Deals module to refresh the exchange rate the moment a deal moves to Closed Won, so the final value always reflects the real-world rate at close.

3. Forms: New Yes/No Field Type

Zoho Forms has introduced a dedicated Yes/No field, removing the requirement to manually build a radio or picklist field for simple, binary questions. It’s perfect for consent forms, legal agreements, or quick surveys. Plus, it’s highly customisable; you can style it as a toggle-style text button, thumbs-up or thumbs-down icons, or cross or tick icons to match your form’s aesthetic.

4. Forms: New GeoComplete Auto Address Field Type

Typing out a full address is one of the biggest friction points for users. With the new GeoComplete field, respondents can simply start typing their address in a single line, and the system will auto-complete the rest using Zoho or Google Maps data. It’s faster for the user and ensures you get verified, accurate data every time.

The GeoComplete field is only suitable for forms that require a full verified address, but do not require the the individual address line items, such as street, city, state and postcode.
