Welcome back to The Zoho Report! In this episode, we're covering document visibility in Zoho Sign, new routing forms in Zoho Bookings, loop functionality in Zoho CRM's Kiosk Studio, a refined Time Log Grid View in Zoho Projects, and a quiet upgrade to Zoho CRM's Client Script Web API. Let's dive in.
1. Zoho Sign: Document visibility
Complex agreements often involve multiple stakeholders with different roles, and sending a separate envelope to each one is time consuming and creates its own administrative bottleneck. Zoho Sign's new document visibility feature lets you bundle multiple documents into a single envelope while controlling exactly which documents each recipient can see and sign.
How it works
You can now add several documents to one envelope and assign visibility per recipient. Zoho's own example is an HR onboarding pack: an offer letter, a policy agreement, and internal payroll information all go into the same envelope, but the employee only sees and signs the offer letter and policy agreement, while payroll details stay restricted to the finance team.
Why it's useful
- Keeps sensitive documents visible only to the people who need to see them
- Manages multi-stakeholder agreements in one workflow instead of several separate envelopes
- Gives signers a cleaner, more focused signing experience
This is aimed at any team running multi-stakeholder workflows: HR sending onboarding packages while keeping approvals private, finance processing payroll or budget approvals without exposing internal detail, sales sharing customer agreements without internal approval paperwork attached, and IT distributing policies while keeping security details internal.

2. Zoho Bookings: Routing Forms
If you offer multiple services, locations, or specialists through a single booking page, customers often struggle to work out which one they actually need. Zoho's example is a bank offering home loans, personal loans, credit cards, wealth management, and account services across different branches, a customer wanting a home loan has no obvious path to the right specialist. Zoho Bookings' new routing forms fix that.
How it works
Routing forms collect information from the customer, such as the service they need, their preferred branch, or customer type, before they book anything. Based on their answers, Zoho Bookings automatically directs them to:
- The specific booking page or specialist that matches their needs
- An external website, for scenarios outside your booking system
- A custom message, for situations that don't need an appointment at all
Routing rules can be as simple as a single If condition, or as advanced as multiple If conditions combined with AND or OR operators based on form field values.
What it means for your business
- Fewer incorrect bookings, since customers land on the right page the first time
- Less manual reassignment of appointments
- A more personalised, efficient booking experience
How to enable it
Head to: Admin Center > Organization > Routing Forms, create a new routing form, add the fields you need, configure your routing rules, and share the unique routing form link with customers.

3. Zoho CRM: Loops in Kiosk Studio
Kiosk actions in Zoho CRM could previously only run against one record at a time. If you needed to update a list of contacts, schedule calls across a batch of leads, or process multiple products on a deal, you had to rebuild or repeat the same configuration every time. Loop functionality in Kiosk Studio removes that limitation: configure the logic once, define when the loop should end, and Kiosk Studio handles the repetition automatically.
What loops let you do
- Process multiple records automatically within a single flow
- Run the same actions, updates, approvals, emails, across a whole set of records
- Repeat a set of steps without rebuilding the flow each time
- Configure the loop using records, a fixed iteration count, or values pulled from earlier steps
- Give users manual control over when a loop stops
Controlling loop execution
A loop is created by connecting two Kiosk elements and defining the condition under which it stops. You can control this in three ways:
1. Based on GetRecords - the loop runs once for each selected record, then stops automatically once all records are processed
2. Based on a maximum iteration - either a static value up to 100, or a value derived from an earlier screen or action
3. Ending manually - admins can add an End Manually button to a kiosk screen, giving users control to stop the loop and move on
Nested loops
Kiosk Studio supports loops within loops, up to two levels deep. Zoho's example is order processing, where an outer loop runs through each customer order, and an inner loop runs through every item within that order, marking each as processed before the outer loop advances to the next.
Things to know
- Fields configured inside a loop are only accessible within that loop
- Records fetched before the loop can be used inside it, but records retrieved within the loop stay scoped to it
- Loop executions are capped at 100 iterations, including nested loops
- A loop can't be deleted until every component inside it has been removed first

4. Zoho CRM: Client Script Web API quietly moves to V8
This one hasn't had any official callout from Zoho, but they have quietly released an update to the Zoho CRM Client Script Web API's, jumping from v2 to v8 to match the REST API version they are built on.
How it works
These Web APIs work on a similar principle to Deluge's integration tasks. They're preconfigured functions that map to CRM API calls, so instead of constructing raw API requests yourself, you call the function and Client Script handles the rest.
Important
Zoho hasn't published an announcement for this change, so treat it as something we've spotted rather than an official release note. If you're actively developing against Client Script's Web API, it's worth checking the v8 Web API against what you're currently using on v2, since there's a good chance functionality you've wanted is now available.
Who this is for
Anyone building custom scripts, validations, or automations inside Zoho CRM using Client Script.
5. Zoho Projects: Time log grid view
Tracking work hours across tasks, issues, and team members has always meant jumping between views to piece together context. The refined Time Log Grid View fixes that by recording your team's logged hours against tasks and issues in a single, interactive grid.
Left panel — log management
The left panel lists the tasks, issues, and general logs for a project, and lets you add a time log to any of them directly from the panel. Expand any item to view its individual log entries, edit start and end times inline, or click through to the full task or issue details page when you need more context.
Right panel — the date grid
The right panel is a calendar-aligned grid, with one column per day and one row per task or issue, so you can enter time directly into the relevant cell. A summary row at the top shows total hours logged per day at a glance, and you can switch how that summary displays using the Summary Data Label control, choosing between Hours, Days, or Percentage depending on what your team needs to see.
Why it matters: A developer can log time against an issue on the left, enter the hours on the right, and the summary row totals it instantly, giving the team lead a clear picture of time invested per issue for more accurate future estimates.
Availability
Available now in both the global Time Log module and within individual project Time Log tabs.
